School of Law Library

At Empire College’s School of Law, we have access to two Sonoma County Superior Courtrooms housed within 11,000 square feet of the Empire College campus. Currently, our courtrooms are presided by the Honorable Robert Boyd and the Honorable Elliot Daum, both of whom are also Professors for our School of Law. In the evening, these courtrooms provide a unique learning environment for Empire School of Law students by functioning as simulated classrooms for the Moot Court and Trial Practice classes.

Along with Empire’s convenient access to Sonoma County’s Superior Courtrooms, our campus also houses the extensive Empire College Law Library. Containing more than 10,000 volumes and expansive databases of computerized legal resources, the Empire College Law Library is one of two complete law libraries in Sonoma County.

Our law library plays an integral role in the development of our School of Law students. Emphasis is placed on the basic research required for classes. The library itself consists of:

  • California, federal and other court reference works
  • Reports
  • Statutes and digests
  • Law reviews and treatises
  • CD ROMS
  • LexisNexis
  • Westlaw computerized legal research programs
  • And more

The School of Law’s library hours are as follows:

  • Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
