Founded in 1973, the School of Law has been accredited by the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California since 1982.
Approximately 76 percent of Empire School of Law graduates who have taken the California Bar Exam have passed. Over the last five years, Empire School of Law has consistently achieved one of the highest pass rates for California accredited law schools, including being ranked second in the state on the February 2004 exam and fifth in the state on the July 2010 exam.
Study at, or graduation from, this law school may not qualify a student to take the bar examination or be admitted to practice law in jurisdictions other than California. A student who intends to seek admission to practice outside of California should contact the admitting authority in that jurisdiction for information regarding its education and admissions requirements.
Detailed California Bar Examination pass results for Empire graduates on the ten most recent Exam administrations are available at the State Bar of California's Bar Examination "Statistics" page.
Launched in Fall 2013, the Master of Legal Studies program is approved by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, a national accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, and has the Committee of Bar Examiners' acquiescence.
