Our accelerated tourism program in Sonoma County can put you on the right track to a new and exciting career!

Empire College can help you add tourism/hospitality skills and knowledge to augment office skills you already possess. Our accelerated tourism courses prepare students for 8 certificates from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, culminating in certification as a Guest Service Professional and a specialization in Hospitality Sales and Marketing.

Objective: This condensed program is designed exclusively for those students already possessing minimal clerical skills as determined by entrance requirements. There is an emphasis on tour planning, convention sales and service, event planning, California wine industry, international travel, geography, and airline reservations.

Graduates qualify for positions as reservationists or hotel front desk clerks, in addition to numerous other positions in the travel and hospitality industry. Empire College focuses on marketable and employable skills.

Prerequisite: (1) Resume' outlining three years of office work experience; (2) net keyboarding speed of 30 words per minute on a 5-minute timing.

Program Length: 2½ quarters
Diploma awarded upon successful completion of all graduation requirements.
