Graduation - A Celebration of Success

Congratulations to the students who will be graduating in Empire College School of Business's semiannaul commencement exercises on Monday evening, July 28.

There are approximately 90 students in this graduating class, each with their own unique backgrounds and experiences and each with a similar story of making the decision to further their education to enter a career field of their choice, improve their lives and, in some cases, set a positive example for their children.

Come meet 30 employers from different industries looking to HIRE!

If you are looking for a job or in a job but want to see other opportunities from employers, or introduce yourself and find out what employers are looking for in candidates, come on by.

There will be SWAG, raffles and prizes.

I.T. Grad Shares On-the-Job Wisdom

Javier Ortiz, Help Desk Assistant, Redwood Toxicology

Javier Ortiz was recently a guest speaker for the Empire College I.T. Department. Javier is a graduate of Empire who now has a job as a Help Desk Assistant at Redwood Toxicology in Santa Rosa. Javier came to Empire College straight out of high school and graduated in the I.T. security program. Javier stressed that there is a big learning curve on the job and that his classes here at Empire College helped prepare him tremendously, especially the concepts in computer hardware and Network+ classes. One of the biggest challenges of his job is dealing with people.
