Tell your friends about the next Law School Informational Seminar on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the College campus.
 
Keynote speaker is Gail F. Flatt. Ms. Flatt received both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in education from the University of Michigan. After a 14-year career as a teacher and probation officer, she received her Juris Doctor Degree in 1982 from Empire College School of Law where she was Valedictorian.
 
Ms. Flatt is an accomplished trial lawyer with an impressive record in both state and federal courts. She has served as a Judge Pro-Tem in the Sonoma County Courts and regularly serves on the Court’s Settlement Conference Panel.
 
Also featured is Steve Spiegelman, who graduated from Empire Law School in 1993 and received his license in 1994. He then worked for the Sonoma County Public Defender’s Office from 1994-1996. In 1996, he opened his private practice. In 2001 Mr. Spiegelman obtained an acquittal on the first medical marijuana case in Sonoma County in the legendary case, People vs. MacFarlane. Spiegelman has a wide array of specialties including medical marijuana, felony and misdemeanor drug, and DUI cases. He is a member of the National College for DUI Defense, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, California Association of DUI Attorneys, and NORML.
