School of Law. The school’s Dean Pat Broderick says through the program, third-
and fourth-year law students are provided the opportunity to gain training and
education in a clinical setting while earning academic credits.

In reflecting over the last five weeks I must say that I am very proud of myself, for not pulling every last strand of hair out of my head. Somehow I managed to make it through bartending school, a broken down vehicle, legal obligations, a $500 television repair, and whatever else I may be forgetting. No matter the circumstances, life goes on; and as long as I keep a smile on my face as well as my priorities in order, all will be well. I also remember to always leave for school extremely early, because I never know when my transmission might go out....again

8/3/09 IMA Newsletter

Hi All Accounting Students,

LinkUp IMA is

What a night. It was a lot of fun. I am glad that I volunteered. It was fun to see the staff doing their funny skits on the slide show. The evening star speaker Lynda (Evening Dean), was so amazing with her speech. Hey Lynda you should write a book. The crown looked great on you too. It was a pleasure to meet the Mayor of Santa Rosa. She was the commencement speaker.(Great Speaker). Debra Magnum was the student speaker; she did a fabulous job and was funny too. Those of you who weren’t there be sure to come next time. It was inspiring to see all the graduates on stage and to watch them receive their special awards, knowing that one day soon each of us will be on that stage receiving our degrees and special awards. I loved watching the children go onstage to meet their parent and give them a rose and a hug too.(SooooCute!!) It was nice to see so many of the graduates friends and family attend to cheer them on.

Once again CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES

Introductory Blog

There are so many things happening in my life, it is difficult to find a beginning for my first student blog. I am now in my third module at Empire College, and I truly love it here. I heard about Empire through my step sister, who is nearly finished with her Specialized Associate Degree in the Medical Assistant Program. I decided to check out the college website for information and instantly became interested in the legal programs that are offered. I sent an email requesting more information and received a phone call from Aimee, my admissions counselor, that same day. Within a matter of days I was enrolled for classes for my Specialized Associate Degree in the Paralegal Program; with my classes beginning the very next month. The process was so simple; the financial aid department basically did all of the work for me. I found out how affordable federal student loans really are. The small monthly payments that I will make to pay back my loan don’t begin until after I graduate; and with Empire College being so well established in our community, businesses are practically in line to hire the graduates here. The Career Services department at Empire College will help students to find work both while attending school and after graduating. Soon I am going to make an appointment with Lucille in Career Services so that she can help me with my resume and finding a part-time job while in school.
