What programs do you offer?

Accounting/Bookkeeping, Information Technology, Legal, Medical, Office Administration, Tourism & Hospitality ... A total of 25 career training programs, including five Specialized Associate Degree programs in Accounting, Administrative Specialist, Information Technology, Medical Assistant and Legal Assistant. In addition, Empire College works with rehabilitation specialists and injured workers to customize programs under California's Workers Compensation training voucher system, as well as laid-off workers entitled to benefits under the Trade Adjustment Act.


How long are the programs, and when can I start school?

Programs lengths are from 6 to 18 months, with new classes beginning every 5 weeks. The next sessions begin August 4 (day) and August 18 (evening).


Are there classes in the summer?

Yes. Classes are year-round with occasional days off for spring, summer, fall and winter vacation. Student holidays are consistent with public school holidays whenever possible - a factor those with school-age children appreciate.


Are there evening classes?

Yes. Information Technology, Medical Assisting, Medical Billing, Legal Assisting/Paralegal, Legal Secretary, Accounting Essentials, Computerized Business Skills, and Hospitality programs are offered in the evening. In addition, for those wanting a class on a particular software package, individual computer classes in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) and more are offered at night.


What days/hours do students attend school?

Monday through Friday, generally from 8 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. or 9 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. Evening programs are held Monday through Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m.


What do students receive when they graduate or complete their program?

A Degree, Diploma, or Certificate of Completion depending on their program.


Does Empire College help you with job placement?

Our Career Services department works with all students to prepare them for the competitive workplace. Our placement rate is excellent, and graduates may use this placement service for a LIFETIME!


Is Empire College accredited?

Yes. The School of Business is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). In addition, the college is both a Microsoft IT Academy and a Security Certified Program Training Partner.


Does Empire College accept transfer students?

Yes. Contact the Admissions Office for details.


Do other colleges accept Empire College coursework?

Empire College recognizes the importance of continuing education and has established an articulation agreement with the University of Phoenix. This alliance provides Empire graduates an opportunity to petition for credit that will apply toward elective and general education areas within the University of Phoenix's undergraduate degree programs.


Is financial aid available?

Yes. Federal and State financial aid is available to those who qualify. Empire College also offers scholarships.
