Tourism, Hospitality and Wine Industries (Accelerated)
Empire College can help you add tourism/hospitality skills and knowledge to augment office skills you already possess. Our accelerated tourism courses prepare students for three certifications from the American Hotel & Lodging Association: Convention Management and Service, Hospitality Sales and Marketing, and Managing Front Office Operations.
Objective: This condensed program is designed exclusively for those students already possessing minimal clerical skills as determined by entrance requirements. There is an emphasis on tour planning, convention sales and service, event planning, California wine industry, international travel, geography, and airline reservations.
Graduates qualify for positions as travel agents, reservationists or hotel front desk clerks, in addition to numerous other positions in the travel and hospitality industry. Empire College focuses on marketable and employable skills.
Prerequisite: (1) Resume' outlining three years of office work experience; (2) net keyboarding speed of 30 words per minute on a 5-minute timing.
Program Length: 2½ quarters
Diploma awarded upon successful completion of all graduation requirements.
