School of Law - History
For the past 33 years, Empire College School of Law has been providing a rigorous and quality evening Juris Doctor education for students wishing to pursue a career in the field of law. We are very proud of the accomplishments of our graduates, including members of the judiciary in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino and Merced counties.
Currently, more than 50 practicing attorneys (including several judges) from the North Bay area serve as professors, teaching in their specialty areas. They make the realities of law come alive in a classroom setting that retains its personalized, professional, and participatory atmosphere.
Empire College School of Law also has a proud history of community outreach. Currently, students participate in a variety of clinics offering free legal services to elderly, disabled, and low-income citizens. In addition, Empire School of Law was awarded the Small Claims Advisory for Sonoma County in 2005, through which students assist clients with a variety of legal matters.
