School of Law - Admissions
The School of Law operates on a semester system. Introductory classes (Introduction to Law, and Legal Research and Writing) are offered in January, March and June, as well as in September and November. First-year classes (Criminal Law, Contracts, and Torts) begin in the fall and spring semesters.
Students are classified as "Regular," "Special" or "Transfer." Regular students are defined as those having a four-year degree, OR an A.A./A.S. degree, OR 60 semester or 90 quarter units of undergraduate studies acceptable toward a B.A. degree. Special students are defined as those having less than 60 semester or 90 quarter units of undergraduate studies acceptable toward a B.A. degree.

In the Trial Practice class, students gain experience in trial procedures from opening statements, direct examination, cross-examination, through final arguments.
